Indoor Activities

Hi im Berni, this is my area of the website as I cant do anything with computers!

Bev and me both work all week and our little girl goes to nursery and family while we are working so we don't get to spend much quality time with her except for the weekends.

We try and organise days out but im sure you can relate with the fact that the house work also has to get done. So some weekends we do stay in and that's why I've created this section of the site, to share my ideas of things you can do with your children indoors. Please contact me with any ideas that you do with your children and we will add them on here.

Easter egg cookies (good for left over easter eggs)

Makes 6-8 cookies

      Shopping list:

  • Oaty cookie mix
  • Any easter egg
  • Milk chocolate cake covering (cooking chocolate)
  • Cookie cutting shapes
  • We made the cookie mix up as instructed on the box and cooled them for 5-10mins (had to hold back our daughter from eating them!)
  • While they cooled I placed a glass dish over a saucepan that contained boiling water, we placed the broken up easter egg in the glass dish then added approx 100gms of the milk chocolate cake covering, and stirred it till completely melted.
  • By this time our cookies were cooled, and we used the back of a teaspoon to spread the chocolate mix on top of the cookies, then we decorated them with smarties and hundreds and thousands.
  • Refrigerate until set.
  • Do not leave in the fridge for longer than 30mins as they become extremely hard!
